WHO IS THIS FOR?

Built for businesses that own their fleet

These are the most common reasons why businesses decide to sell their owned vehicles.

Holding costs exceed operational value

When maintenance, repairs and downtime outweigh what a vehicle contributes, moving it on quickly recovers maximum value without delay.

Releasing capital back into the business

Owned vehicles are capital sitting in a depreciating asset. Disposal unlocks it to reinvest in growth, operations, or the transition to a managed lease that removes the ownership burden entirely.

Refreshing the fleet for the future

Upgrading for safety features, lower emissions, EV or hybrid transition, or replacing ageing stock with a more capable, fit-for-purpose fleet.

HOW IT WORKS

From your site to settled. Without the back and forth.

We manage every step of the disposal process. You tell us what vehicles you want to move. We take it from there.

01. You provide the details

You provide the details of each vehicle to be sold and provide the pick-up address. That's all we need from you.

02. We arrange transport

We organise collection from your site to the auction house. Your team simply hands over the keys, and we do the rest.

03. Sold through auction

Your vehicles are sold at national fleet auctions, putting them in front of a deep pool of professional buyers competing for your stock.

04. Documents provided

Once sold, you receive clear documentation of the final sale price and relevant paperwork for your records.

The difference a managed disposal process makes

FAQS

Vehicle disposal. Your questions answered.

You send us the vehicle details and the pick-up address. We arrange transport to the auction house, sell the vehicles at national auction, and send you the sale proceeds and the paperwork for your records.

Yes. Vehicle disposal is an add-on service for clients who hold vehicles on their own books. If you lease your fleet through YFT, end-of-term disposal is included as part of the managed lease arrangement.

No. A vehicle can’t be sold while there’s finance owing or any other encumbrance on it. It’s best to clear this before the vehicle reaches the auction house, as it’s the main thing that can delay a sale.

Yes. There are auction houses in every Australian state and territory, so we can manage the sale wherever your vehicles are.

Yes, and this is one of the most common situations we handle. If you’re moving from fleet ownership into a YFT managed lease, we can manage the disposal of your current vehicles at the same time as we set up your new lease. The two processes run in parallel so there’s no gap in your fleet and no disruption to your operation.

A vehicle wholesaler is a single buyer making a single offer. Auction access means a national pool of professional buyers competing for your vehicles at the same time. The competition drives the price up. For most vehicles, the difference in return is meaningful.

Yes, entirely. We organise transport from your site to the auction house and provide all the relevant documentation. Once any finance on the vehicle has been cleared, your team’s involvement ends when the keys are handed over.

We charge a fee for managing the disposal process. Talk to us about your fleet and we’ll explain how it works.
